Answers
"Removing hair colour is something which requires expertise, dont try to do it yourself you need to visit a professional hairdresser "
"I'm not a "hair expert" but I do know that there are hair removers that you can use to get rid off all the dyes.. go check out the nearest Sally Beauty Supply store and ask the sales clerk for help"
"Take it from an hair expert. Do not try this your self. Hair color removers must be used very diligently according to the condition of the hair. Also color remover leave your hair in a very raw color state, exposing alot od red, brassy undertones, that then need to be toned. Please seek professional help."
"Hair bleach is the only thing that will remove it. Unfortunatly it will dry you hair out. When the color is removed orange is usually what is left. IT DOES NOT RETURN TO YOUR VIRGIN COLOR. Then you have to deposit another color to tone the orange. I do not suggest doing this yourself. It is also exspensive and takes 1/2 a day. "
"PRELL shampoo is a good start for at home....it is very strong shampoo and can actually help to remove some of the hair dye from the hair shaft. I do not recommend it for daily use or for people with dyed hair at a color that they like. "
"I dyed my naturally dark blond hair permanentely black!!!!!I am desperate to remove most of the dye soon.I am seriously lacking in the cash department so i need a cheap, easy and reliable option(that wont turn my hair orange!!!!!)I dont want to go back to blond, but dark black is really very harsh.I'd like to go dark brown or a dark red colour.I dont want to damage my hair more than i already have so your suggestions would be great."
" If you only dyed it once you can wait a few weeks and then go to a salon and let them lift the color.
Your situation is a difficult one. Ask around and find a good salon and you will have to spend some money and then leave it alone. I had light blond and went darker and it looked horrible. So they put streaks in it and it can be lived with. But your situation is very drastic.
Find someone good and ASK ALOT OF QUESTIONS! After your hair is grown out and safe to work with again later, use hair dye by never putting it to your scalp and saturating it. NEVER saturate your scalp. Use a plastic comb and carefully come through your hair. Also, get it cut and start again being smarter for your mistakes. "
Really Bad Haircut
Q : I went to the hairdressers today for 'a trim' and she's cut too much, she asked me if I wanted some layers put in and I said ok, but she put far too many layers in and there sooooo short so when I striagthen my hair the end just stick up everywhere, I just broke down crying Im so upset as I have to keep it up now in a pony instead of having it down and Im going to a christmas party soon.
"I can totally relate to you, i had the same - i went to a ******** student cutting session and they literally hacked away at my hair. That was in July and Im still not totally ok with it, but i do like what iv learnt to do with it. It just involves a bit more work
try working in plenty of conditioner to the ends of the short bits and dont straighten too much if ur prone to it (as i found it splits the ends and makes it take longer to grow). Iv also got a coconut hair shine from the body shop which works wonders!
I also got so arsed off with it that i went to another salon and aasked for a styling demonstration which was helpful
"
"I so sympathise with you, everyone tells you its fine but its not rights for you. Give it a few months and it will grow out and then find someone else.
After a very similar disaster I waited for about five months and went for a consultation. With being a new client and explaining what had happened before they were so careful and took so much time > my hair had never looked so good.
Please dont worry too much. "
"I can sympathise with you. I had my hair cut for my birthday earlier this year, I asked for a 'trim' and some layers. She chopped over 5 inches off & it ended up above shoulder level.. I hated it & to make things worse my then love interest stopped calling me when he saw my hair.
Unfortunately 6months on my hair still hasnt grown back to its former glory. I'm never going to a hairdressers again!!!"
"u poor thing.. it will look ok soon though im sure.
This is exactly why I have a phobia of hairdressers! I avoid them totally if I can, have done for years. I'm sure that when they see someone with nice hair they sabotage it deliberately.
"
"Think of it as an excuse to buy lots of nice hair styling products until you find something which can get it looking nearer to how you'd like it to - ie stop the ends sticking up, etc.
It relaly probably doesn't look as bad as you think though - just because a haircut isn't to your personal taste does NOT mean it's objectively horrible! I know that's probably not much consolation - having to carry something which isn't to your taste around on the top of your head isn't exactly great! - but it does mean that it's unlikely that anyone else will be looking at it and thinking that it's as bad as you think it is...... did that come out making any sense?!
It will grow out! You can get lots of nice hair clips etc so you can wear it up to the party and noone will ever know that you hadn't intended to do that all along."
"Is a man worth having if he can go off you as a result of a haircut? He must have been very shallow.
