“Removing hair colour is something which requires expertise, dont try to do it yourself you need to visit a professional hairdresser ”
“I’m not a “hair expert” but I do know that there are hair removers that you can use to get rid off all the dyes.. go check out the nearest Sally Beauty Supply store and ask the sales clerk for help”
“Take it from an hair expert. Do not try this your self. Hair color removers must be used very diligently according to the condition of the hair. Also color remover leave your hair in a very raw color state, exposing alot od red, brassy undertones, that then need to be toned. Please seek professional help.”
“Hair bleach is the only thing that will remove it. Unfortunatly it will dry you hair out. When the color is removed orange is usually what is left. IT DOES NOT RETURN TO YOUR VIRGIN COLOR. Then you have to deposit another color to tone the orange. I do not suggest doing this yourself. It is also exspensive and takes 1/2 a day. ”
“PRELL shampoo is a good start for at home….it is very strong shampoo and can actually help to remove some of the hair dye from the hair shaft. I do not recommend it for daily use or for people with dyed hair at a color that they like. ”
“I dyed my naturally dark blond hair permanentely black!!!!!I am desperate to remove most of the dye soon.I am seriously lacking in the cash department so i need a cheap, easy and reliable option(that wont turn my hair orange!!!!!)I dont want to go back to blond, but dark black is really very harsh.I’d like to go dark brown or a dark red colour.I dont want to damage my hair more than i already have so your suggestions would be great.”
” If you only dyed it once you can wait a few weeks and then go to a salon and let them lift the color. Your situation is a difficult one. Ask around and find a good salon and you will have to spend some money and then leave it alone. I had light blond and went darker and it looked horrible. So they put streaks in it and it can be lived with. But your situation is very drastic. Find someone good and ASK ALOT OF QUESTIONS! After your hair is grown out and safe to work with again later, use hair dye by never putting it to your scalp and saturating it. NEVER saturate your scalp. Use a plastic comb and carefully come through your hair. Also, get it cut and start again being smarter for your mistakes. ”
