Blonde to Brown…Gone Ginger !
Q : Major hair disaster My hair was blonde (only a nice and easy light ash blonde) and has been so for months. Yesterday I decided that I would go to a medium brown for the coming winter, and its gone ginger!!!

“I would suggest you get yourself to a good hairdresser who should be able to correct it for you. The only other thing you could do is apply another, slightly darker, brown on top, but personally I wouldn’t risk it. Hope you get it sorted…”
“Rinse rinse rinse, shampoo, shampoo, shampoo firstly – then I’d suggest getting a semi permanent or washing washout colour in a dark blonde or light brown (no golden tones in it) until you can get yourself to a hairdressers.”
“When my hair went sludge green a year ago I put lots of ‘head and shoulders’ onto my hair dry and left it there all day, then rinsed it out and kept washing with the head and shoulders as it contains an ingredient which helps strip the colour. It worked a charm! ”
“I’ve done this too! I dyed over it with a darker brown. Although if sounds a bit risky best you go to the hairdressers. Hope it works out ok!”
“I put a dark blonde on it and it seems to have calmed it down a lot.
I also washed it again this morning and that’s toned it down slightly. Why do I do these things???”
